Congo Pamoja Liboso Inc (CPL), was founded in 2020 by Dorcas Wilonja who is a young Congolese woman residing in Australia.

According to Miss Wilonja, CPL was created “…to rebuild communities, help those in desperate need, and change the lives of people in Africa and other third-world countries.” 

Miss Wilonja hopes to build roads, homes, hospitals, orphanages, and schools all across Congo and one day all across Africa. 

As the organization is based in Australia, Miss Wilonja aspires that one day CPL can be a place where many young people’s lives can change for the better by organizing fun and also educational projects all around Australia.

CPL has hosted a few events to gain exposure in the community and have a place where young people can feel like they belong. 

In terms of projects, CPL has partnered up with two orphanages, ‘Upendo Foundation’ & ‘Umoja Care Foundation’. CPL donated food, water and toys, and more to both orphanages. 

Miss Wilonja believes taking action and coming together will help many. 

A well-known phrase that she stands by is actions speak louder than words. CPL is definitely putting in the action and the work by supporting people who go days with no food, and people who have to walk miles and miles to get water that is unsanitary. Miss Wilonja is certain that CPL will be able to create visible and tangible change. 

CPL is fulfilling what we were all called to do by God, and that is to help those in need.
